Important Information If You Receive Asteron Datafeeds!
Specialist PMC would like to remind Advisors of the important changes in effect this week regarding Asteron Datafeeds.
The Asteron User Datafeed will be ceasing the first week of August 2015; therefore all advisors that wish to continue receiving a datafeed for Asteron will need to move to the Asteron System datafeed prior to this date. The good news for advisors is, that your datafeed will be automated and you won’t need to upload a CSV.
Users should be aware however, that with Risk Datafeeds there is a risk of losing manually entered data. The risk of data loss is that fields that you may have manually entered data for will be overridden (made blank) by the datafeed – even if the field is not populated by the datafeed.
Any advisors that wish to change to (or commence) the Asteron System Datafeed should contact their Site Administrator for further information and assistance.
A few points to remember about the Asteron System Datafeed:
1. The feeds will be updated nightly, meaning policy information displayed in Xplan is not ‘real-time’ data.
2. Any policy changes/updates that occur throughout the day will be reflected in Xplan the following day.
3. Xplan feeds reflect the information displayed via Asteron Life Policy Information or Proposal Tracking.
4. Users may be able to apply date locks to prevent data from being overridden; we are seeking clarification from Xplan around this functionality specifically in relation to risk data.
